Pre-driver training is available for anyone over 14 who does not hold a provisional licence but would like to learn the basics of driving before acquiring their provisional licence. Pre-driver courses are accepted by Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership as a recent quote states:
‘Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership do recognise that developing good driving skills and styles at an early age, i.e. Pre-Driver is a very important part of becoming a good defensive driver at test level and beyond.’
The course provides a opportunity to learn the basics of driving on private land under full, professional supervision and also help to raise awareness about the dangers and responsibilities of driving and encourage good attitudes and behaviour. This in turn will give the pupil a better understanding of road procedures when they begin to learn to drive on public roads.
Training can be provided on a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio. A Go-Drive U17 pre-driver lesson is a perfect gift or school holiday activity for anyone interested in driving. Pre-Driver courses are available on weekends and can be taken as a one-off driving experience through to full syllabus courses. Session are available in 60min, 90min and 120min durations.
